What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Walking and
biking tracks

Access to parks and open space is known to improve people’s physical and psychological health. It also strengthens communities by providing opportunities for outdoor activities and enjoyment.

Our vision

To create a recreational hub by developing a range of walking and mountain biking trails that extend the existing public track network.

Increase public access

There are amazing opportunities to further develop the track network into a recreational hub for the local community and wider region.

Increase recreational opportunities

When we’re not harvesting pines, we provide the public with unlimited access to the network of tracks that weave through sections of pine and native forest. These tracks are regularly used by local residents from Pinehaven and Silverstream, but also by people from across Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt for walking, running and mountain biking.

Ride from Wainuiomata
to Silverstream

We believe our forest track infrastructure offers the beginning of a wonderful footprint for future recreational opportunities.

Recreational
hub

The connections that Silverstream Forest offers, would significantly extend the recreational choices in the Hutt Valley, enabling a wider range of circular and interconnected routes to be enjoyed. Mountain bikers could ride from the Wainuiomata saddle along the Eastern Hills ridge to the Blue Mountains, come down Silverstream Forest ridge and then return via the Hutt River Trail and back up the Wainuiomata Hill.

Recreational opportunities

A Silverstream Forest reserve could become a hub where its own tracks and trails provide connections from the ridge between:

Cycling opportunities in the Hutt
The cycling opportunities in Whitemans Valley and beyond to Tunnel Gully, Mt Climie challenge and Rimutaka Incline routes.
Summit Tracks
The summit tracks along the eastern hills of Lower Hutt, eventually connecting to the Wainuiomata Trail Project.
The Hutt River Trail
Connections via the Hutt River trail to trails and tracks on the western side of the river.
Connections via the Hutt River Trail
Including the Silverstream Scenic Reserve, the Moonshine and Cannon Point areas, and more remote areas in the Akatarawa and Whakatikei hill country.
